[NTX_NTS] 2006 NTX Traffic Statistics

2006 is behind us and we now look forward to a successful 2007. A
summary of the traffic statistics for last year has been completed and
is presently available on the administrative page of the DFW Metroplex
Traffic Net website. You are invited to stop by and take a look.

As 2007 progresses, this information will be migrated to an archival
page as data for the new year is compiled. Information will be
published as that time comes and there will always be a link to this
information available at the website for your reference.

If you do not regularly visit our website, you may be unaware of the
changes and new information which have been posted over the past few
months. In addition to the traffic handling stats, visitors can also
see a listing of active Official Relay Stations serving the NTX
Section as well as a roster of traffic handlers during the past ninety
days. The Statewide Traffic Net Schedule has been updated to reflect
changes affecting the CW Section Nets as the result of recent band
adjustments; links to the traffic net websites have also been added
where applicable. General links to other NTS related websites and
resources have been added as well. Updated scripts for both DFW Early
and DFW Late are also available.

The net managers, Chance and I, continue our solicitation for
additional stations to serve as Net Control Stations for various
sessions. There is a particular need for those willing to take slots
on DFW Late. Check the website for a grid of current assignments and
where openings exist.

I believe I speak for Chance as well when I extend a special note of
thanks to those of you who participate on the local VHF nets. You are
the engines who help drive the success of our NTS affiliation and
contribute to spreading the workload. To the rest of you, I hope 2007
will be the year you resolve to take a more active role.
