Subject: [NTX_NTS] SET, 14 November

For those of you who have checked-in to the net over the past couple
of weeks, please endure the repetition. To the rest, the DFW Traffic
Net will be conducting a Simulated Emergency Test tomorrow evening, 14
November. The event will begin during the regularly scheduled Early
Net (18:30, W5FC - 146.880), continue throughout the evening and end
during the Late Net (22:30+, WA5CKF - 146.720/110.9).

All stations are invited to participate.

You are welcome to bring traffic of your own creation if you like or
we have some preformatted messages for distribution. Stations bringing
their own traffic are asked to limit the content and precedence to
Welfare or, with a little imagination, Priority. When composing a
message, please include "Test" along with the precedence (e.g. "Test
Welfare") and the phrase "Test Message" as the first two words of the
message body. I would also suggest the use of a fabricated addressee
with a generic telephone number (e.g. 214.xxx.xxxx)

Liaisons are also very much welcome and encouraged — especially ARES
and RACES units in the North Texas region.

Slots are also available to serve as Net Control Station at fifteen to
thirty minute intervals (duration depending upon demand). To express
you interest in participating as NCS, either indicate such via eMail
to me or check-in to the net as Alternate Net Control during one
segment and you will be elevated to NCS during the next available time
slot. (We will be using the "Disaster" script, which is available from
the website.

Feel free to contact me directly or through the list if you would like
additional information or to request message traffic.
