Hey Carlos! Thanks for the information. The radio that I was using is a Yaesu FTDX 10. New this last year.
The interference sounded exactly like someone running a kilowatt with an antenna close to mine. Reminds me of field day years ago when we battled someone running CW next to the SSB rig on same band Wiped out the band.
I listened today on the same frequency and heard the broadcast station, but they were only about an S5 versus 60 over 9 on Sunday.
Very strange propagation, a receiver problem or else a pirate station in my neighborhood!! 😀
