Saw this announcement on Blacksburg Citizen's Alert and thought others in the area might potentially have an interest. This is the station where we have our monthly club meetings.  Might be interesting to have a chance to see what equipment they've got in the back and talk to some of the volunteers.

Fire Prevention Week is October 6 - 12!
Join the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department for an Open House on Sunday, October 6 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. Guests will have the chance to meet dedicated volunteer firefighters and to see fire trucks, equipment displays, and fire prevention materials up close.
The open house is free of charge and will be hosted at Fire Station #3.
