[nrv-hams] Club participation with JOTA - Sat Oct 19th

We will be participating with local Scouts (Blue Ridge Mountains Council)
at Camp Powhatan BSA on Saturday October 19th from around 8am to 4pm (time
may be adjusted).

This will be a field day type event where we will set up an antenna and
station to contact other scouts/groups and ham operators.

and let me know what you would like to help with and times if you can't do
the whole event.

Since this is our first venture between the club and the Scouts, the
emphasis will be a simple operation with very friendly attitudes with
adults and children. They will be operating the equipment under our
direction and supervision. With that said, we want our best and most
helpful front in efforts to spawn curiosity and wonder among the youth.

If you would like to participate by making contacts, please listen on the
air, and check guidance below or your favorite spotting network for JOTA
stations. It's really fun to listen and speak with these kids!
