[nrv-hams] Strong Geomagnetic Storms Predicted!

Hi All,

The Sun was very active again recently with geomagnetic storms predicted for this weekend - i.e. the possibility of auroras!  We are probably a bit far south for the current prediction (G3 - Strong vs G5 - Extreme back in May), but you never know with auroras.

The storm conditions are a result of a couple X-class flares (highest class possible) plus some slightly weaker flares with mass being ejected too from the Sun (coronal mass ejections, CMEs).  To keep an eye on the predictions and conditions, check the resources Cam already has (https://www.n4nrv.org/current-conditions-and-space-weather/) plus swpc.noaa.gov and spaceweather.com directly.

The Sun also has a good number of larger sunspots right now, so there could be more of this action in the near future.
