[nrv-hams] Zoom issue

Everyone, I wanted to apologize for the debacle last night at the Fire
Station in trying to get things started..  It really was the perfect
storm.  The Fire Dept (themselves) had double-booked the meeting room for
their own Officers meeting by mistake, and then the large fire they had
downtown that pulled Members from all three Stations, plus Christiansburg,
added to that.  In their minds I'm assuming, they were thinking that since
"they were already having a meeting at Station 3," they'd just make it
bigger and entertain the firefighters after the fire.  Thus, we got pushed
out.

The "plan B" for the NRVARC in the event that we're not able to use Fire
Station # 3 for some reason, is to move to the Fire Station on Price's Fork
which is Station # 2.  Yesterday, this wouldn't have worked either b/c of
the working structure fire, etc, etc, etc..  Again, the "perfect storm."

I feel that we're super blessed to be able to use these great facilities
for our meetings, basically free of charge (I think we should discuss a
donation later this year perhaps) and we should continue to use them.  It
seems that our attendance is even up since moving.  I plan to converse with
the Chief about scheduling in hopes that we can avoid a "double book"
again.   Obviously we can't avoid fire calls, but.....

Thanks again to Chris Peters for his quick thinking in getting us an
alternate place to move to so quickly.
