Minutes

9/25/2023



New River Valley Amateur Radio Club

Meeting held at the Blacksburg Fire House. In addition, a simultaneous Zoom
session was held.



At 7:00 PM Cam Coble gave a practical demonstration of ways of using an
arborist throw line as a means to hang an antenna in a tree.  Afterwards
one throw bag was awarded in a random drawing to John Morehead.



Business meeting called to order at 7:30 PM

Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

The August meeting minutes were sent to the club reflector on September
24th. No corrections or additions were received.



Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen

Club is in good standing. Two additional renewals.



WinLink Update – Danny Wylam

Things are working well again. No more issues.



Repeater Update – Mike Herring

Everything seems to be working well. Hearing some brief interference.



Club Donation Acknowledgements – Cam Coble

Patrick Lloyd donated arborist line.

Club Shirts

Members discussed the possibility of new club shirts. Cam will send out an
email seeking design suggestions.



*Blings n Things* –“What I did last summer”



Members talked about their ham radio activities and learning over the
summer.



Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
