New River Valley Amateur Radio Club

Meeting held at the Pulaski County School Board Building. In addition, a
simultaneous Zoom session was held.



Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM



Welcome from Cam Coble as President

Introduction of officers



*Reports*

Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

The March meeting minutes were sent to the club reflector on April 20. No
corrections or additions were received. Thanks to Cam for taking good notes.



Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen

Club is in good standing.  Now up to 42 paid memberships. (plus 7
additional household members). Paid the State Corporation annual fee.



WinLink Update – no report



Repeater Update – Mike Herring and Cam Coble

On April 23rd Christopher, Carlos, Mike and Cam worked for several hours on
Cloyd’s Mountain. Took everything out of old cabinet, set equipment up in
new rack. Swapped out receiving radio and some old cabling. Also
reinstalled the preamplifier on receive. Had technical issues with the
Kenwood TK-750 repeater so will need to research further.



Club Donation Acknowledgments – Cam Coble

The Craiges donated a dipole center piece for an antenna. Rick Barrow
donated lots of old equipment, will be sold as part of a radio rummage sale
at Field Day.

Report of Audit Committee – Cam Coble

Audit conducted by Cam Coble, Christopher Peters and Roger Bell. Everything
found to be in good order. Thanks to Steve Allen for his efforts throughout
the past year.



Field Day Planning – Cam Coble

Have confirmed reservation at Randolph Park.  Will use DX Commander with
triplexer for 80, 40 and 20 meters.  Pete will reserve a small generator



Len Sutphin made a motion to purchase band-pass filters for 10 and 15
meters at a total cost of up to $300.  This will allow operation on those
frequencies with minimal interference. Christopher Peters seconded the
motion. All were in favor.



Audie Murphy Special Event – Cam Coble

Planned for June 3rd.  Details will be sent out by email.



Foxhunt – Cam Coble

Foxhunt originally planned for April 22 had to be cancelled due to weather.
Will try to reschedule another one soon.  [Note - New date was later set
for May 6th]





*Blings n Things* –Share Your Shack

Members shared pictures of their home setup.





Meeting adjourned at 8:40 PM.



There were a total of 14 attendees (8 in-person, and 6 on Zoom)
