Cam, Thanks for the response!

As for the w8ara repeater(s), my bad. I eventually found the Mountain Lake
repeater info, but couldn't get there with my HT ... again my bad, I used
the wrong offset during manual programming (PITA). I have since updated
CHIRP and programmed the Mtn Lake ARA repeater, one on Poor Mtn, and one on
Dismal Peak. All are working now with my 8-watt and 5-watt HTs.

I note that the ARA website only identifies some of their repeaters as
"linked ARA repeaters" and only one of the ARA repeaters I can talk to
(443.875) actually states that it is an ARA repeater in its connect msg!
Some area nets (on wd4bnq for example) are not linked to all their
repeaters so figuring out which repeater carries which net(s) seems to be a
bit of a guessing game.

In your time of need, may your piece be with you!

"Selig sind die Toten die im Herrn sterben von nun an."
                                                    (Offenbarung 14,13)

The trouble with many of today's college graduates is not that they're
ignorant, it's that they've been taught so much that just isn't so!

                                                      (with apologies to
Ronald Reagan).
