[nrv-hams] Call for AT HOME volunteers for Audie Murphy Event Saturday!

Maybe we'd get better member participation if we posted more Audie Murphy
info that connected to the NRVARC event, for example: that Audie Murphy
died in a plane crash on May 28, 1971, on Brush Mountain near where the
club's repeater is set up. There is a memorial monument
<https://www.virginia.org/listing/audie-murphy-monument/4952/> there. Read
the details here <https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CDbwdFsQ8Og/maxresdefault.jpg>.

Also, it might help if the announcement includes the freq/offset/tone
necessary to talk to any non-NRVAREC repeater. Maybe I just missed it for
this event, but it was like pulling teeth to find the details for the w8ara
repeater.

I would also encourage whoever is responsible for the club's Audie Murphy
event page <https://www.n4nrv.org/2023-audie-murphy/> to fix, ASAP, that
glaring typo:

"Event station will be ran by the *New River Valley Amateur Radio Club*.",
should read "will be run".

In your time of need, may your piece be with you!

"Selig sind die Toten die im Herrn sterben von nun an."
                                                    (Offenbarung 14,13)

The trouble with many of today's college graduates is not that they're
ignorant, it's that they've been taught so much that just isn't so!

                                                      (with apologies to
Ronald Reagan).
