[nrv-hams] Very sad news

This afternoon I called Russ Abbey to sing happy birthday to him.  Russ'
wife answered to tell me that Russ had a stroke last December and passed
away 30 DEC.  I asked her if there was anything I, or the club could do for
her, to which she declined help.  She said she and their daughter are doing
as well as the circumstances allow.  She volunteered that "John" is taking
care of disposing of his gear, which will go to the Roanoke ham fest.  I
asked her if I could relay this info to the club, which she allowed.
