Below are minutes of our March 27th meeting. Thanks to Cam for taking good
notes and to Christopher for running the Zoom session.

3/27/2023
New River Valley Amateur Radio Club
Meeting held at the Pulaski County School Board Building. In addition, a
simultaneous Zoom session was held.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM
Welcome from Cam Coble as President
Introduction of officers
*Reports*
Secretary’s Report – Cam Coble for Edward Lener
The February meeting minutes were sent to the club reflector on March 15.
No corrections or additions were received.
Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen
Club is in good standing. Now up to 42 paid memberships (50 members
including households.)
WinLink Update – Danny Wylam
Everything working as expected
Repeater Update – Cam Coble for Mike Herring
Cloyd repeater preamp removed and inspected by Cam Coble. Will return the
preamp to service soon. The donated Kenwood repeater will also be put into
service soon.
Club Donation Acknowledgments – Cam Coble
Last meeting, $100 towards new radio by Carlos Riveros
Protection case for new radio given by Steve Allen
*Old Business*
Update on Club Purchase of New Yaesu FT-710 AESS Radio – Cam Coble
Radio is configured and stored for the next outing.
Auction Results for Unneeded Equipment – Cam Coble
Auction - $605 total - This was a wonderful offset for our new purchase.
Event was helpful in reminding people to renew. We will likely continue to
use this strategy in the future if available.

Report on VA QSO Party – Cam Coble
Big thanks to all that participated. Demonstration of N3FJP was shown by
Cam Coble.
Report of Audit Committee – Cam Coble
Delayed due to scheduling conflicts. Will be rescheduled.
*Blings n Things* – Potent Potables – What’s your experience with a
beverage antenna?
Cam Coble presented his beverage antenna install and remarks on its
performance to effort ratio. Conclusion was that the effort is not worth
the reward for the installation that was performed. Your own experience may
be different.
Meeting adjourned at 8:50 PM.
There were a total of 11 attendees (7 in-person, and 4 on Zoom)
