 Greetings all,
Below are minutes of our August 22nd meeting. I was late getting the July
minutes out and wanted to send these while the meeting was still fresh in
everyone's mind.

Please let me know of any additions or corrections that are needed.

*Reports*

Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

Full report sent to club reflector on Aust 21.

Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen

Club is in good standing. Have paid a few expenses related to Field Day.
There were three more memberships, bringing us up to 47 paid members.

WinLink Update – Danny Wylam

Everything seems to be working well. Let him know if any issues.

Repeater Update – Mike Herring

Repeaters are working well. Have gotten needed cables and done some
programming on the new repeater but have not installed it yet.

*Old Business*

already!) – Cam

*New Business*

Breakfast Social and Fox Hunt – Cam Coble

Seven people participated, including two from the VT radio club. For three
of the attendees this was their first time attending a fox hunt. Cam has
continued to find new and creative ways to hide the transmitter, providing
a challenge for everyone. No date set yet but plan to hold the next hunt
in the Christiansburg area.

Club Breakfasts – Cam Coble

Plan to resume the weekly “Pay Your Way” club breakfasts on Saturdays at
8:30 at the Country Kitchen restaurant in Christiansburg. Attend based on
your own comfort level.

Winter Build Project Update – Cam Coble

Have not decided on a project yet. Still open to suggestions. May be a
simpler project than last year’s. Lots of stuff is either out of stock or
very expensive.

New Member Application

- David Lievsay, K7UUH (pronounced Levesee)

Approved after a vote of the members. Welcome David.

*Blings n Things* – “Fool for the Tool”
