Good Morning Patrick,
I can forward you a couple of learning links that might prove helpful.
Also have you applied for your number for DMR yet? That will be the first
thing you should do or you won't get on to the database. You can find that
place to register here at http://www.dmrva.org/, it is the first place to
go without getting conflicting information from the people who think they
know a lot. :) No offence to a lot of good meaning Folks out there,
but......It is what it is. You caa=n learn about Virginia base repeaters
here and a lot of information. After that go to the Radio Reference WIKI
page here at https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/DMR
<https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/DMR>. All of these are reliable
and important sites to learn. After this you're on your own as I gave up.
Way too much to learn and not enough time for me. :) Not to mention I am
more of a Yaesu System Fusion type of person.
