Everyone,
Below are the minutes of our last meeting. Please let me know if you have
any additions or corrections.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 22nd. We will be having
elections for the 2022 officers at that time. Please let me know of any
other items that need to be added to the agenda.  Also a reminder that
there is no December club meeting.

New River Valley Amateur Radio Club

Meeting was held over the air on club repeaters due to COVID-19 concerns.

In addition, a simultaneous Zoom session was held.



Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM

Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

Full report sent to club reflector early on October 25th. No corrections or
additions received.



Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen

Club is in good standing - Email for further details.

Time for 2022 renewals, can be done by Paypal at
https://www.n4nrv.org/apply/ or by mailing payment to Steve.


WinLink Update – Danny Wylam

Both gateways are working. Let him know if you encounter any problems using
the system.



Repeater Update – Mike Herring

Things seem to be working well. Plan a trip up the mountain to take care of
a few things.

*Old Business*

Club Build Project – Cam Coble

Have 8 people who signed up, registration is now closed.

Plan to run 4 sessions plus an optional 5th one.

Third and final call for check-ins.



*New Business*

New member application – Roger Brown, KO4TXR, Christiansburg. Recently
inspired by GMRS license to become an amateur operator, technician class.
Approved for membership.



Nominating Committee – Cam Coble selected members of the nominating
committee. They will identify a slate of officers for 2022. Members include
Len Sutphin, chair, Cindy Turner, and James Pascoe. The election will be
held at the November meeting.



*Blings n Things* – Catching Cold

Members discussed how they monitor and report weather at their stations.



 Meeting adjourned at 7:50 PM.
