Here is an opportunity to enlist some of those fox hunting skills we've
been working on, as well as a bit of sleuthing!

I've been conducting a few high-altitude balloon flights, much like weather
balloons. We released one last Saturday morning with a LightAPRS onboard:

https://aprs.fi/#!mt=roadmap&z=11&call=a%2FKJ4OAP-11&timerange=21600&tail=21600

We believe the balloon burst a little early at just over 83,000 ft. There
were no APRS beacons on the decent, we usually only get a few of them. The
last position report we have is from a secondary tracker that uses a
satellite data network. It's position placed it near Check, VA. It's
possible it was still in decent and may have floated eastward toward the
Parkway.

I'm wanted to put the call out if folks were in the area to try to listen
for the APRS beacon. This beacon is only powered by solar panels, so
mornings where it's sunny might be best. It's not necessary or I'm not
encouraging people to go walking onto people's property. What I'm looking
for is a general area on where a beacon is being heard, or better yet a
decoded position report would be great!
