[nrv-hams] motion to move our nets

Good morning everyone.

I am not sure you can make a motion without being in a meeting, but Ben's
timing is funny. Last night I told Bill I thought it might be nice if the
⅕N4NRV Net was moved to 7:30 because it fairly frequently runs over into
the Friendship, Traffic and Information Net of the Virginias. We have a
number of HAMs who enjoy both nets, and we might have greater participation
in one or both of them if they were not competing.
On the other hand, I am concerned that folks may get frustrated if they are
not aware of a time change and tune in to find no net at 7:00.
Bill's concern is that, especially in the warmer months, and when we reach
post-COVID, folks are going to be participating in activities in the
evenings and may be less likely to tune in at an earlier time.
I suggest we discuss it in tonight's meeting but not make a decision until
next month. That would give us the opportunity to poll the folks who are
actually on the net and get their input.
Just things to consider. Have a great day, and we look forward to seeing
everyone tonight! (VERY excited about the Zoom meeting tonight!)
