[nrv-hams] Radiate in February! GUT check

It's been a busy few months here, and I haven't been on the air much at
all, even UHF/VHF, but the last few times I've fired up my HF rig reception
is way down from what it used to be, and I have not made any contacts on 20
or 40 meters. I replaced the coax from the radio to the antenna, but that
didn't help much.

I have an off-center-fed horizontal dipole and my antenna tuner still seems
to work (achieves a "green light" SWR) but I don't have any of that
fancy/expensive test equipment, so some high-tech help would be
appreciated ... some time after the weather warms up.

Thanks!

PS I just renewed my membership using the online Paypal portal. Really
NICE!

In your time of need, may your piece be with you!

The trouble with many of today's college graduates is not that they're
ignorant, it's that they've been taught so much that just isn't so!

                                                      (with apologies to
Ronald Reagan).
