[nrv-hams] Club Kit Build project?

If we do a project, I'd keep cost under $20.
The thought is to start with something simple, and requires minimum tools.
Probably need a soldering iron,  flush wire cutters, and a multimeter.
All through hole components, but if you're like me, probably need some
magnification.
Haven't decided for sure, but leaning toward this kit:
