Folks, 5 watts ain't gonna make it from your places to the 745.  Heck, I'm
under 9 miles to the 745 on Poor Mtn,and can't hit it with under 12 watts.
Sure, you can hear it fine but you've also got a big hill in the way to get
into it.  Try taking a small beam and seeing if you can't get into it?  I'd
be interested to hear your results.  Another thing, are you inside or
outside?  If inside forget it, way too much in the walls to act like
barriers.
You're offsets are good, and so is the PL tone or CTCSS tone.  (a lot of
names for the same thing.)
Jim, if you're using the FT60r, you only have 5 watts not 10, I'm trying to
think if maybe I can help in any way, but not till after this virus is gone
I'm afraid.  Even with the vaccine done, my Wife has me on a shorter than
normal leash. :)
