Last club meeting I said I'd post the test results from my 40m EFHW
project. I started with what I thought was 70' ofwire (that's the length I
purchased). Turns out it was more like 78'. (I forgot my mantra of "trust
but verify"). So after seeing seemingly random changes in VSWR with wire
length changes, I measured the length. Since my calculations indicated
that 7.175MHz would resonate at 68.3", I started at 69'. Final length is
67'. The wire far end was only ~6' above ground for all but the last 67'
measurement, where I elevated it to ~8' (rope was the limit, will try
higher).

Since I want to do some digital work as well as USB, I specified the
frequencies by D or V.

Anyway,:results here

Enjoy, laugh or scratch your head. Comments and suggestions are very
welcome - I see I have a LOT to relearn.
