[nrv-hams] Golden Packet 2020: July 18

I wanted to pass along that the Golden Packet event for this year is next Saturday, July 18th between roughly 10am and 4pm EDT.  The short of this event is to get an APRS packet roughly along the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.  Last year I manned Comer's Rock (southwest of Wytheville) for the first time and had a blast with it.  I'll be manning it again this year and wanted to pass along an announcement on it just as general awareness of the event.  With COVID-19, I'm not really looking for any help in setting up, manning, or packing up the station as I have another person that will be helping out.  But certainly if you're in the area of Comer's (or one of the other mountaintops) you could stop in and say hi.  Or if you've got a packet radio near the AT, you might tune in and see what you can hear.
