A reminder that our next meeting is scheduled for Monday night at 7:00 PM.
This will again be held over the air on the club repeaters.

New River Valley Amateur Radio Club
Meeting was held over the air on club repeaters due to COVID-19 concerns
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM
Welcome and brief instructions from Christopher Peters as Vice-President
Check-in of officers
First round of check-ins of members and other listeners
Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener
Full report sent to club reflector on June 17th and resent July 16th. No
corrections or additions received.
Treasurer’s Report – Edward Lener for Steve Allen
Expenses related to Field Day included generator rental and the purchase of
power supplies and power distribution blocks as approved at the last club
meeting. Funds were raised by the sale of used equipment at Field Day.
Repeater Update – Mike Herring
Everything seems to be going well with the repeaters. Please pass along
information on any problems to him.
WinLink Update – Danny Wylam
Both gateways are working. Needed to reset computer at Brush Mountain again
to get WinLink running again. Looking for computer assistance if anyone can
help figure out how to automate the process and avoid the monthly trip to
manually reset the laptop.
Second round of check-ins of members and other listeners
*Old Business*
Club Contest Update –Everyone is encouraged to record their contacts and
submit online. Congratulations to Jim Hassall, W4BEA as the winner for May.
Field Day Report – Cam Coble posted a detailed report on Field Day 2020 on
the club web site.
The event was held starting Saturday, June 27th in Randolph Park in Dublin.
In spite of the challenges posed by the pandemic the club actually earned a
higher total score than last year.
*New Business*
Brief discussion of whether Danny Wylam needs to be reimbursed for trips to
the repeater. He says no, just wants help figuring out computer issues as
indicated in his WinLink update.
Third and final call for check-ins.
*Blings n Things *
Theme was “What’s Your Vector, Victor” – a chance to talk about directional
antennas and equipment you have built or are using.
