Hope everyone is doing well during these challenging times. Below are the
minutes from our March 23rd meeting.  Our first "over-the-air" meeting went
well and, as Cam recently announced, we will be using the same format for
our next meeting on Monday, April 27th, starting at 7:00 PM.

Please send me any agenda items for the April 27th meeting. Also let me
know if you have any corrections or additions to the minutes below.

New River Valley Amateur Radio Club

Meeting held over the air on club repeaters due to COVID-19 concerns



Meeting called to order at 7:00PM



Welcome and brief instructions from Cam Coble as President and serving in
the role of Net Control for the evening.



Check-in of officers



First round of check-ins of members and other listeners



Secretary’s Report – Edward Lener

Full report sent to club reflector on March 20. No corrections or additions
received.



Treasurer’s Report – Steve Allen (Not shared over the air)



Repeater Update – Mike Herring

Went up to the mountain to check out repeaters. Attempting to limit
interference from North Carolina. Both repeaters are currently working
normally and functioning well.



WinLink – Danny Wylam

Both stations are working. Had to go to Brush Mountain and reset the
computer there.  Cloyd mountain now seems to be working better than before.

*Old Business*

Club Contest Update – Cam encouraged everyone to record their contacts and
submit online.



Field Day - Planning Committee reported that they don’t know if it will be
happening this year but still making plans to proceed as normal.  Cam has
sent the info to ARRL.  Ed Lener will prepare some promotional materials
for area newspapers.



Special Event Station – Danny Wylam indicated that there was nothing new to
report. He is still planning to hold a special event at or near the Audie
Murphy memorial on May 30th.



*New Business*

None. Cam suggested that any long discussions be saved for an in-person
meeting or held via the club repeater.

Several members shared things they had learned the hard way!
