And since you have brought it up Cam. The 6 and 2 meter bands have been
opening up almost daily for good simplex out to about 1000 miles without a
beam! I just got a confirmed QSO with a Ham in Texas on 6 meter FM
simplex! 52.300 most days now.
Enjoy the hobby, enjoy our privileges and remember that the ARRL does try
to protect the airwaves we have been given.
