This is the first time ever that North America has hosted the World
Jamboree.
they will be having an extensive ham radio setup

I am working out the logistics now with the local District Executive and
the Reservation Program Director.
if we can get in to both Camps that would be great. I am planning on my
system at one.
I propose this as a club outreach event.
Objectives:
Proposed Dates July 22-26 (as many as possible or only one day TBD)
primary: 1) Scouts make contact with scouts at the world Jamboree 2)
scouts make contact any way we can do it (hf,vhf/uhf repeaters, dmr)
secondary: if we have stations at both camps if nothing else scouts from
each camp and make contacts
equipment:
hf gear and antenna, suggest batteries (and there may be a possibility
of electric power)
computers for digitial communications
vhf/uhf gear
dmr if you have it
ALL going to the Camps must have a current Youth Protection Training
Certificate.
https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/
(takes about an hour for this training )
you do not have to be registered with the Scouts to take the training
If you are interested in this event please let me know
