[nrv-hams] FARS help

As promised here is the info about the help needed by the Floyd Amateur
Radio Society.
Sept 14 the FARS will have a booth at the Floyd County Fair taking place at
Chantilly Farm.
(2697 franklin pike SE. Floyd, Va)  They will man a booth promoting Ham
Radio from 10am to 7pm (working 2 hour shifts) through the day. Also they
will need hams with portable radios to be stationed along a route for a 5K
walk/run. (cell service is not good in that area) Hams will be there to
assist walkers/runners should they need help. They will have personel
available but need hams for communications.

Also FARS has a net each Tuesday evening at 8pm on 147.210  +.06 offset and
114.8 tone.
