[nrv-hams] Fwd: Ham Operators For November Race

Hey Danny and all,


Long time lurker, (maybe?) first time poster.  Caught up with Steve 
that's organizing things here as I'm interested, but had some questions. 
  He noted that there shouldn't be any need for walking yourself as they 
have access to a side-by-side (car/4-wheeler hybrid) that might have a 
bed to haul people and gear to the aid stations.  Makes sense as they'd 
need to lug water and food to these places too.

So there's no need to walk or have your own 4-wheeler (I was sad 4-wheel 
drive trucks won't work) to help participate.  I don't think there will 
be any power though, so your gear will need some kind of battery operation.

Danny, have you been organizing anyone for this?  I'm interested, but it 
seems like Steve's waiting on a reply from you for people to that can 
provide comms.  It's fairly small enough it may not need much central 
organizing outside of Steve and the event folks.
