Great question Danny...
There was barely any cost savings. If you count your time, it was probably
more expensive to build.
I think I ended up spending about $30-$32.
If you have to tool up do to this build, it would definitely not be worth
it, unless you're like me and like to get more tools (like a tap and die
set).
It's a little more "machining" than most people want to do to construct the
antenna, but I enjoy doing things like this.
