> Good Afternoon Everyone,
> I was contacted by the National Weather Service about weather reporting and nets or phone or social media. I talked to Phil Hysell KI4CPK at the NWS about what was right and what they wanted for reporting. I have attached a note on this and the repeaters that handle the nets. Please take a moment at some point to take a look.

> With all of the nasty weather events we have had to face in the last couple of years we as Hams are going to be needed to help with ARES/RACES/Satern/Etc not only with deployments to where ever, but also stuff we have never seen on our regions. Look at the earth quake we had several years ago here in Virginia. Something is happening to our weather, whether it is a pattern change or climate change I don't pretend to know. However I do pay attention to what is going on. This morning in the NY Post there was an article on the weather events the last couple of years in New England. The last two Nor'Easters are a good example with more tidal surge in the Boston harbor then seen in over 100 years of 100 years. I think they rated them as 2 and 3 on the worst. So will we be deployed anywhere? It's up to you, f you choose not to or are way to old or infirm to do so then don't. Let the young bucks do it. However, at home we can report to places what we are seeing whether over radio or by other means. Not just to the NWS either, notify you County Emergency Coordinator of weather events and CC the NWS it only takes a second.
