> One week from today the 2017 Roanoke Valley Hamfest is the place to be! I wanted to share some news regarding this event.
>
> Please be aware the venue has changed. This event is being held at the VINTON MOOSE LODGE. If you are coming from Roanoke to Vinton, the Moose Lodge will be located on the right hand side of the road across from East Vinton Plaza. WBHS is about 1/2 mile east of the Moose Lodge. If you have reached the turn off to drive to the high school you have gone too far.
>
> The Moose Lodge has two driveways. The entrance for our event will be at the second driveway. Please be aware the driveway is hard to see. If you turn at the guard rail you will be entering a storage facility and will need to turn around. I know this because I made this mistake myself recently. You will enter the driveway and purchase your ticket(s). You will be directed to park in a grassy area. Once this area is full, you will need to park at East Vinton Plaza across the street. If you park there, please park in spaces closest to route 24. Please observe traffic signals to walk across the road to the event. You will exit the event at the other driveway.
>
> Handicap parking is available. You must have a valid handicap license plate and/or rear mirror handicap hanger displayed to park in these spaces.
>
> Flea Market area located in the rest of the paved parking area.
>
> If you have contacted me for an inside vendor table, you may bring items Friday, August 4th between 4 pm and 7 pm or on Saturday, August 5th between 5:30 am and 8:00 am.
>
> If you are NOT A VENDOR which most of you fall in this category, you will not be allowed to enter the event until 8:00 am. We have a tremendous amount of set up to do and need to be sure all set up is complete before we start the event. We also want to be sure our vendors are ready with the "good stuff" as well. Please allow our vendors that courtesy.
>
> If you are helping to set up/tear down this event, please see/contact me for your assignment. We still have plenty of room for volunteers to help out.
