> Hey all,
>
> Before I let too much time go by, wanted to thank you all for such an amazing job on Sunday!
>
> MOM is an outstanding event because of you! I am still getting comments and have copied and pasted all I have so far below. Give yourselves a pat on the back because you surely deserve it. Thank you so much for taking such pride in what you do, and for doing your job so well.
>
> Before you forget, please take a few minutes and write out a timeline of what your day was like Sunday (and Friday, Saturday, Monday). I want every detail of anything you did MOM related. I know it takes a huge effort of your time and energy and I want to know just how much.
>
> Thanks again for all you do. You rock beyond expectations!

> Great ride, great organization, and wonderful (and supportive) volunteers. I'd like to offer constructive criticism but I can't think of a single suggestion to make.

> You guys do a fantastic job of putting this ride together year in and year out. Special thanks to the volunteers who graciously supported the riders at the rest stop and intersections - i am thankful for them.
>
> I, and many of my friends look forward to this ride every year. We are already talking about next year's ride...

> I was part of the Team Z posse on Sunday and rode MoM for the second time. Many of us have had side discussions about the support all day long. The stops and volunteers were just amazing. The groups of random folks gathered at lonely places to cheer were a pleasant surprise. But holy cow, the sag and maintenance vehicles were EVERYWHERE! As the ride is one you just need to take at your own pace, I would find myself alone for long stretches. Every time I noticed I hadn't seen another rider in a while, one of those awesome vehicles would come by with a smile and a wave from the driver. I knew if I had a mechanical issue, I would not have to wait long and that was incredibly comforting.
>
> I've been a cyclist for 25 years and have done a fair number of organized rides and tours. This is by far the best support I've ever seen. Thanks to all that made it a great day (including Mother Nature). I look forward to coming back in the future.

> Thank you for a perfect organization yet again! MOM is for me THE ride to which I always look forward, not only for the ride, but also for the beauty of the scenery and for the perfect organization. A big congrats to you. After the finish I was talking to a co-rider who happened to be Kelly's husband. I asked him to convey to both of you my congrats for a perfect organization! So please continue, despite the great efforts that it certainly takes!

> Thank you so much for putting on such an outstanding event. I am overwhelmed by the number of people it took to make MoM happen. I wish I could have thanked every volunteer personally. They were so great in encouraging us, caring for us, and doing everything they could to make the day easy.
>
> Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

> Thanks! Great event, as always... the planning is evident and the event is first rate!
>
> As I mentioned to a friend of mine-- it's in the same league as Mitchell in terms of support, and the course is more challenging!
>
>
> Thanks so much. This is my fourth year doing this and it is always an A class event. Much appreciated!!!!
>

> Best century I have done. Beautiful route, amazing support, happy people everywhere. Thumbs up all around.

> Wanted to personally thank you for all the effort you and your staff put in to make this happen. This having been my 5th year participating in MoM, I've seen firsthand out on the course all that you guys have put in to making this happen. Not to mention the emails, struggling to get volunteers. It is sadly, a far cry from the event my buddy Ed (who also was in his 5th MoM) and I were going to participate in this coming Saturday up here in the Washington, D.C. area - Total 200. I mention this because they suddenly canceled the entire event last night due to a shortage in volunteers; very little notice, 2 days before. You guys didn't cancel and made MoM 2016 happen with a tremendous all out effort. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you all again next year!
> Sincerely,
> Jon Cho (Rider 253, Sterling, VA)

> You and your team rock! You put on a first class event and every year it gets better. I did the double for the first time this year and believe me it was challenging enough. I was truly at my limits on the last climb.
>
>
> Thanks for another excellent M.o.M. event!
>
>
> Thank you, Anne and everyone else (especially the volunteers!) for EVERYTHING. What an incredible event. The rest stops were amazing, the volunteers were extraordinary. I wish all events were as well organized. Many, many thanks! I can't believe I did it all!!!! See you next year :)

> You guys put on a great event and one that I will do my best to block my calendar for in the coming years. Great job to you and the rest of the team.
>
>
> Great event, Anne! It was my first time doing it and I enjoyed it.
>
>
> Just want to say what a great time I had with my first MoM. The weather was perfect, even the rain I didn't mind. I was so happy to finish safely.
>
>
> Just wanted to share that my husband LOVED Mountains of Misery, he won't stop talking about how nice it was, how well organized, how pretty the view, etc.
> Thanks for putting my husband in such a good mood :-)

> Randy Wood here - bib 326 - first time MOM rider yesterday.
> I have participated in a lot of athletic events. Among all of them, I would rate the Marine Corps Marathon as the best planned, managed, executed and supported athletic event. Until yesterday.
> The MOM 2016 event was so incredibly well run - absolutely every aspect - from parking, to starting, to SAG, to rest stops, course markings, mechanics, and the amazing volunteers.
> I would like to especially recognize the people who worked both Route 460 crossings - what a stressful job. To get 600 riders across that highway twice was beyond impressive!
> An amazing event from start to finish. Not an easy 101.5 miles - but your and your volunteers made it the best experience I have ever had in any of my athletic experiences.
> Well done. and thank you.
> Randy Wood

> I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how awesome the ride was yesterday. I know countless hours went into everything..especially this last week. And, I wanted to let you know how touching the bracelets were for Louie. I wore mine with pride and could almost feel a push on the big hills. :) Thank you so much for doing that!

> Just wanted to send you a note to congratulate, commend and thank you for a wonderful event yesterday!
> It was my first time in MoM and it was a lifetime highlight!
> The event was exceptionally well planned, organized and done in a great spirit. So many volunteers(!) and everyone did a great job!
> It is events like these that draws communities together and provides good, clean & healthy fun!
> Very appreciatively,

> Just wanted to comment from a first time MOM rider ( did double metric)what a great event. Certainly didn't think so on that final climb but I got up there and finished struggled with back issues most of the ride. It has sunk in and what a great event, great ride and fantastic support. I am in my second year of cycling I lost a lot of weight a few years back(100 plus) and fell in love with cycling. Thanks again for such a great event and I am certainly looking forward to next year. Kudos to all who organized and volunteered!!!

> Thank you to Anne and your team and all the volunteers who stood in the rain supporting the riders. I appreciate all your hard work to pull off this spectacular event.

> I wanted to pass along the sincere thanks, personally and on behalf of our team – PBC Miserables (I think that’s what we called ourselves) – for a superb, and superbly challenging, event on Sunday. It took us to some of the most beautiful roads we’ve ever seen, and introduced to us the best and most engaged volunteers we’ve ever encountered. And they were literally angels at the top of the last climb.

> I would also like to Thank You and all the volunteers that put on such a Awesome event . This was my first MOM and I am already looking forward to next year. There is not one thing that I could tell you that needs to be changed. There was a few times that I forgot in the excitement , to offer my Thanks to the volunteers for something they had done for me, so if you could please tell any and all that I said Thank You for everything . Thank You again for giving us bike riders such a Great event. Have a Great summer and see you next year. Tommy

> MOM was an incredible event in every respect, and I can't think how it could have been better. I've done the century 4 or 5 times but this was my first time doing the double, and the double is the best course I've ever ridden. 4 great, varied climbs and descents at even intervals, beautiful roads, rest stops perfectly placed.
>
> So glad the weather cooperated. Although I'm getting old, I'll be back to do it and will bring others. Thank you and all the other volunteers for all your efforts.
>
> Thank you for a reliably awesome event. Know that your every effort is/was appreciated.

> Thanks again for organizing this. Your team rocks.

> My second year in a row riding MoM. Great event, great support and your volunteers make the ride a real pleasure - at the start, the rest stops and finish. Peaceful, friendly community to ride through and continue to let us riders know how we can strengthen the peace of this event.
> I brought 2 new riders this year and they loved it too. Ok, the climb at the end was a pain in the ass, but worthwhile. I suspect they will join me next year if all goes well.
> Best, and keep up the wonderful work.
>
> Cindy and I would also like to say Thank You for yet another great year for MoM! You guys really know how to organize a ride - from the pre-ride information, the well organized parking, easy starting waves, very well stocked rest stops with amazing volunteers, super course marking, to the great finish line welcome you guys nailed it! All we had to do was ride!

> Thank you for organizing the event and thanks to your many volunteers; thought it was a great day / weekend in SWVa. See you next year.

> Great job once again to you and your staff! I've come every year since 2002, and am always impressed by the helpfulness and attitude of all I come in contact with. The course is challenging, the scenery beautiful, but its the staff and volunteers that set MoM apart.Keep up the good work and you'll always attract as many riders as you can handle!
