[nrv-hams] ham radio service resources?

I recently encountered a problem with my Kenwood TM-732A: the PTT indicator
& functionality did not follow the BAND SELECT buttons - PTT seeming to be
locked on the 2 meter band.   The Kenwood "factory" service center in VA
Beach agreed "look at it" for $35 diagnostic charge, but would not comment
otherwise.

I searched for "kenwood service center" which listed a number of "factory
certified" outfits in addition to the two "factory" service centers (in CA
and VA).  I called one in TX (AVvid.com) and was rewarded with a FREE
diagnosis (software glitch) and a FREE solution (do a MEMORY RESET) ...
easy and it worked!   Gotta love the Texans!

Does anyone know of a public/online list of reliable service resources,
maybe like an "Angie's List" for ham radio repairs?
