Danny,

I would echo that. At net control, we wasted a lot of time trying to
track down supplies. Perhaps we need a dedicated supply depot at
Neport and one on the western loops. As the race collapses, supplies
from the West could be brought East in some sort of logical fashion.

Communication with some of the SAGs was poor. We may need each SAG to
check in with net control every 30 minutes or so to be sure we can
reach them. If they can't reach us, they can check their equipment
until we connect.

I'm not sure now the SAGs define their roaming territory, but perhaps
more definition could be given to each SAG's roaming assignment during
specific periods of the race. Each SAG should have a licensed radio
operator, and ideally, testing of each area of the race regarding
repeater communication could be done ahead of time. I understand,
however, that it might not be practical. It might be best to have
repair SAGs spread out East and West depending upon the stage of the
race.

All in all, I think communications were improved from last year from
the perspective of net control.
