Last night at the meeting there were some questions about the W1AW portable
operations.
There have been 2.84 million QSOs with W1AW/x stations uploaded to Logbook
of the World. That does not include this week's states or the second
operations from Rhode Island and Kansas. The original WAG was that there
might be a million contacts made in total for the year. Way wrong!
As for the remaining states ... the states this week have been Arkansas and
Florida. They end at 7 PM tonight.
Starting tonight (November 26) at 7 PM are Delaware, Louisiana, and Puerto
Rico
Starting December 3 at 7 PM are Illinois and Maine
Starting December 10 at 7 PM are Indiana and Montana
Starting December 17 at 7 PM are Maryland, Hawaii, and Georgia
Starting December 24 at 7 PM are Pennsylvania and Iowa
There will be one last Red Badges on the air day on Wednesday, December 31.
This means it will start at 7 PM local time on Tuesday, December 30 and end
at 7 PM Wednesday, December 31.
Red Badges are worn by ARRL elected officials, HQ employees, and HQ
volunteers (such as tour guides). Red Badgers, as one person flippantly
termed us, have high point value in the Centennial QSO Party.
Every ARRL member counts for at least one point in this operating activity.
73 and happy Thanksgiving, Kay N3KN
