This afternoon I was informed by his Legislative Director that Congressman
Morgan Griffith has signed on as a co-sponsor of H.R. 4969, after the
conversation in his office yesterday. I promised that I would let the folks
back home know about this development.

Now, I have one more thing to ask of you. Politicians like to know that
people notice and appreciate it when they take a position that constituents
have urged them to favor. It's just good manners to say thank you, for one
thing, and also it increases the likelihood that they will pay attention to
any future requests.

Please, today, make a phone call to a local office or send an e-mail using
the Congressman's web page and let him know that you appreciate what he has
done about H.R. 4969. This might help ham radio in our area in the future in
ways we can't even guess at right now.

I hope to see y'all at the hamfest in Vinton on Saturday.
