[nrv-hams] W1AW portable schedule

There was discussion the other evening about the plans to activate W1AW from
places that are not states. I just looked at the schedule posted on the ARRL
web site and see that there are plans to operate from the District of
Columbia, KH0 (Mariana Islands), KP2 (US Virgin Islands), and KH8 (American
Samoa). The KH0 and KH8 operations will each be for 4 weeks at a stretch.
Those places can be a challenge to work even when it's not something special
like W1AW. KP2 and DC will be on for 1 week each. KP4 (Puerto Rico), which
was already on the air once, will be on for another week.

The one state that hasn't been on the air yet is Maine. Their first week
begins August 27, and their second week begins December 3. The coordinator
for the Maine volunteers is an extraordinary operator and organizer, K1DG,
and I'm sure he will have top-notch people putting the last of the 50 states
out there for us to chase.

This coming weekend is the North American QSO Party, SSB, and the ARRL
Rookie Roundup, RTTY. Both could be fun.
