Yesterday, Saturday evening, my knee gave out on me as I was walking up the steps from my garage into my house. I fell backwards on the garage floor, with the back of my head hitting the concrete floor--hard. I was really dizzy, and my head really hurt—bad! Somehow I got to my feet, and made it into the house. I called our daughter Jenny and she came and took me to the ER at MRH. After a CT Scan determined that I had no broken blood vessels in my brain (You never thought I had one, didn’t you?!) the ER Doc determined that I had a concussion, and Jenny took me home. She stayed with me until Kay got home from Texas this afternoon. (That’s one great daughter!!!)
My head still hurts a lot, and I am having some more short dizzy spells. I am sore all over, but am beginning a walk a little bit easier this afternoon.  I am restricted to very little time on the computer and watching TV (the doc said was allowed to watch NCIS on Tuesday night, thank goodness!); and I should expect continuing spells of dizziness for about 7 days. Kay will make sure I see a neurologist in the coming week, to determine why my knee went south on me.
The dog is fine.
