Subject: Antenna building

Good day all,
Unbeknownst to some of you, but knownst to most of you, we are planning a
mass antenna building party this coming Saturday. We are building 2-meter
Moxon antennas, a nifty compact antenna that has gain and very good
directivity. I made mine for portable use in tracking Diane's APRS signal
while she is on horseback, but it would be excellent for fox hunting and
fixed station use as well. In preparation for that, I need some pertinent
information from each and every one of you who intends to participate and
build an antenna. I need to take inventory and make sure that we have
everything covered to make the right number of antennas. Please answer the
following
questions:

1. Who are you and what is your call sign?
2. Do you want the antenna for fixed, portable operation, or both?
3. What type of connector do you need on the coaxial cable that goes to
your 2M rig?
4. How long a cable do you plan between your rig and the antenna?
5. If you are thinking about portable operation, do you have a method of
supporting the antenna? (PVC pipe, painter's pole, pool que, telescoping
mast, etc?)

My reason for asking is that there are many ways to build a Moxon and we
want to build what is the best all round fit. Please reply directly to me
(ab4i at arrl.net) and tell me what you hope for.
73,
Donnie
