Dear Friends,
It's no secret now, that I have been spending all of my time in Newport and
trying to breathe some life into the Newport Rec Center.  Things are brewing
and I am so excited.  I will send you an update on all the activities as
soon as I can catch my breath after our LAST Newport Treasures Flea Market
tomorrow,  Saturday, August 17.  And that is my primary reason for writing.
Please come by and check out our quaint little market tomorrow.
 
We have LIVE old time music starting at 9:00 AM with the INDIAN RUN and
HAPPY HOLLOW STRINGBANDS entertaining our visitors until noon.  We also have
a local antique car collector who is bringing down some beauties for
everyone to see.  Stick around and have lunch with Mikie's 7th who has been
our exclusive food vendor.  You will also find all kinds of treasures and
oddities among our vendors, from indigenous plants (Enchanter's Garden) and
local eggs to antiques, artists, pottery, not to mention good old fashioned
yard sellers galore. 
 
Please come if you can and REMEMBER you will be supporting a bigger cause
for the Newport Rec Center as well as recycling when you buy a previously
used treasure.
 
I will be happy to take you up to my studio too, if you can catch me!
