Subject: Repeater Building

Hi Everybody who may be involved in this Saturday's action at the repeater
facility up on Brush Mountain,

Today Jim Marchant N6QDO went with me to the repeater site, which is located
just a minute or five up the dirt forest service road at the peak of Rte.
460. I'd suggest driving the road with care, as there are deep ruts in it.

Jim made measurements and took the attached picture to give an idea of the
dimensions and state of the outside of the building.

Afterwards he sent me the email below.

For those who may be purchasing stain and other supplies, please see the
dimensions that Jim measured. I have no idea who these people might be...

I look forward to seeing a good group at 10:00 AM THIS Saturday morning,
September 15th.

73,

Carter N3AO

Carter,

Here is a summary of measurements from the Brush Mtn. repeater building.

The building is 8' wide x 12' long with the long dimension roughly parallel
to the USFS road. Walls are nominally 9' tall with gables on the 8'wide
ends of the building. Eaves extend about 16" from the sides of the
building. The fenced area on the left side (looking from USFS
road) of the building is 8' x 8'. The 6' high fence facing the USFS road
has a locked 3' wide gate. The rest of the fence is 4' high.

The exterior of the building has a total paint area of about 420 sq.
ft., including the walls, door, underside of eaves and gable ends. The wood
exterior has the appearance of siding that has not had any fresh paint in
quite some time, so it will probably absorb quite a bit of paint or stain.

I have some photos to send, but each one is about 3.5 MB, so will only
attach one with this e-mail.
