*Good morning Everyone,

I would like to let you know that Tom, Dee, and myself, along with the
Principal and or sponsor Science Teacher Ms. Annmarie Radki will be sitting
down Wednesday morning at 10am in the Library conference room at Floyd High
School. As I assume you all are aware this has been an ongoing work in
progress for the last 3 years and we finally got our Sponsor last week!

This is very exciting for the Floyd Amateur Radio Society and it will take
all of us to make it work. I guess that at this point I am asking you for
ideas for a demonstration at the start of the school year for the kids.
I've been thinking along the lines of satellites and maybe PSK-31, but that
is not all of ham radio. I need some ideas from you as either members or
very interested and trusted Amateurs as to what you think might be
interesting to get the kids interested in coming to the school club.

Thank You all for any and all help. And as always, radio is about having
fun! But there is a serious side to it also, so there is a lot for all of
us to play with. :) From DC to ultraviolet waves, we can contact a space
craft above our heads to talking with someone in China or Russia. And
least we forget we also have side band for 6, 2, 220, and 440 plus
repeaters and just plain having fun!
