Virginia Tech April 16th Bike Race To facilitate communication between the two clubs I suggest we nominate a liaison from our club to the VT club for this race. Since I suggested the idea I'll volunteer to be the liaison. So if you are interested in volunteering at the race drop me an e-mail by Sunday afternoon and I'll contact Hunter with a list of available operators.
I'm looking forward to testing my moble-base under field conditions.

Dear Mr. Craigie,
I am contacting you to let you know that on Saturday, April 16th the
annual VT Conference Championship bicycle race will be held in Giles county,
VA near Newport. Several members of the Virginia Tech Amateur Radio
Association will be helping out with the race by doing tasks such as
directing traffic. If anyone in the New River Valley Amateur Radio Club is
interested in helping us out we would greatly appreciate the assistance. We
are planning to have approximately 8 positions around the course where
volunteers will be placed to assist with the race. If you have any questions
please email me at HWL at vt.edu or call me at 540-330-3013. Thank you very
much!
Sincerely,
Hunter Long
