ANNOUNCING NOVICE RIG ROUNDUP 2017!!!







The dates are 0000 UTC on FEB 18 through 0000 UTC on FEB 27, 2017

GOOD NEWS: THAT WILL COVER two full weekends!









GOOD NEWS: We want to acknowledge those who have suggested that we award
 extra points to the SENDING stations next year in NRR... I think this 
is a great idea, and sorry we didn't get it done in time for this year's
 2016 NRR. To ENCOURAGE the use of Novice gear, next year you will be 
counting points for each contact you make using a different transmitter 
in your shack. Also, YOU will get extra points if you use XTAL or 
HOMEBREW or QRP or a "commercial PRE-1972 transmitter" on YOUR end. 
Combinations of these characteristics will get you more points. The 
;last one stands alone obviously. I think this will be a better 
incentive than awarding the other station. I hope you all agree. Please 
think about this and let us know if it pleases you "NOVICES" out there!!
