Bry: Never did the NRR before, but did do the original NR. Its a little too
early to commit for sure, but it is a 2 weekend week long event, and only
one weekend has a contest I generally participate in, so I'm in. . I'll
register. Not sure about rig yet. I'll see if I can dust off something,
otherwise I'll be on with my FLEX. BTW, I checked to see how many other
WV's there are, and there are a decent number, BUT, you will notice mine is
NOT a vanity call Licensed in 1961 as WV, got a WA within a year, but when
the FCC stopped issuing Novice calls, there was still a blank on the 610
where one could ask for a call previously held. I asked for the WV back on
a renewal, and it came back WV.Special bonus station? That'd be nice, but I
should be grouped in with the WN/KNs, just expand it to include WVs. BTW,
only the W2 and W6 and KV (Carribean) areas issued WVs. for novices There
were also WH6 (HI) and WL7s (AK) out west, and I don't know what they did
about Guam. --Mike, WV2ZOW
