Hi Charlie. I wonder, did the crystals run hot in the AC-1? I don't
remember details about it but I think it was a single 6V6 rig (or 6L6).
My first was a 6V6 "one lunger" from the "How to Become a Radio Amateur"
mag of 1954 or so. Xtal ran hot, but I think the fact that I may have
run it with a little higher B+ and the screen did not have a series
resistor, so screen voltage was probably too high.
