Things have been hectic at work the last few months and
I've been pretty out of touch. But I thought I'd take a
minute and share a picture of what I've been working
on. It's a modified NoGa Twin-Tube transmitter (great
project Mike, W3IRZ!) and a power supply. You can see
it at:

I'm happy with the 'retro' look and want to build a
matching tube receiver. I was never able to get the
one-tube 3A5 (dual triode) transmitter working to my
satisfaction, but I do have plans for that tube that
Brice, KA8MAV, so generously provided a while
back(details to come).

I'm also going to build a matching VFO or VXO with a
built in TR switch (for the antenna and to mute the
receiver) and a keying isolator (so I can use my memory
keyer without worry).

It's been a blast so far. If you're frustrated by tiny
Manhattan style construction, think about giving
old-fashion point-to-point wiring a try! I've also
learned a ton about tubes and radio in general.
