Hi Brian...

I have a couple here, both homebrewed: a 6T9 compactron for 40m (from March
1971 QST), & a multi-stage job, consisting of a 12AU7A VFO, 6DT6A untuned
buffer/amp, 6AG7 tuned buffer/mult/xtal osc., & a 2E26 amp.

The modulator is a 12AX7A driver, & p-p pair of 6AQ5's. Good for some 10-12
watts output, & about as clean & stable (if not MORE so!) than a few of the
commercial outfits I've bought, tried, & sold here, including a Ranger-1,
DX-20, & a DX-60.

I guess I'm becoming more & more fond of my HB stuff, vs. commercial
"appliances" (albeit appliances that are almost as old as I am! Hi)...

How 'bout yourself?
