Two VHF+ conference subjects today, please read on.

Registration for our Saturday. May 30th, conference is OPEN.   Please read the information available on our website at https://nlrs.club/#Aurora%20Conference   then follow the instructions found there to register.   Two important items for your attention.  

CSVHFS:
The conference team is working on the website and registration is expected to be open shortly.  This years conference will be held at the Drury Plaza Hotel Cape Girardeau Conference Center (Missouri) on July 23 through the 26th.   You will see an announcement when registration opens .... it will be soon.    Also, a Call For Papers has been sent out, a cut and paste is below.   Please consider contributing some of your insights, experiences and wisdom to the Society.  

Call For Papers:  Papers and presentations are solicited on both the technical and operational aspects of VHF, UHF and Microwave weak signal amateur radio. The deadline for the submission of papers and presentations for this year’s conference is Thursday, June 11, 2026. Some suggested areas of interest are:

Transmitters
Receivers
Transverters
RF Power Amplifiers
RF Low Noise Pre Amplifiers
Antennas
Construction Projects
Test Equipment And Station Accessories
Station Design And Construction
Contesting
Roving
DXpeditions

In general papers and presentations on non-weak signal related topics such as FM repeaters and packet will not be accepted but exceptions may be made if the topic is related to weak signal. For example, a paper or presentation on the use of FM simplex in contests or on the use of APRS to track rovers during contests would be considered.

All submissions for publication in the proceedings should be emailed to Kent O’Dell, KA2KQM at [email protected] in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt) formats. Submissions for presentation at the conference should be in Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt) format and can be delivered at the conference on a USB memory stick.
